Dallas Symphony Orchestra On the GO: Prokofiev’s Classical and Grieg’s Peer Gynt

Dallas, TX (February 27, 2018) - The Dallas Symphony Orchestra (DSO) announces its return to Southlake, Texas, as part of the DSO on the GO concert series. 

Assistant Conductor Ruth Reinhardt will lead the DSO in a program of exciting classical works on April 5, 2018, at 7:00 PM at White’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Selections will include Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture, Prokofiev’s “Classical Symphony,” Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite and more.

Patrons may arrive early for a pre-concert lecture. It will be led by DSO Director of Education, Jamie Allen at 6:15 PM.

DSO on the GO was launched in 2012 with a classical concert in Allen, Texas. In the 2017/18 season, DSO on the GO features the full Dallas Symphony Orchestra playing classical and pops concerts in cities and neighborhoods across North Texas. DSO on the GO concerts include familiar classical pieces and popular light classics, with concerto soloists who are principal musicians from the Dallas Symphony.
